You are my joy
“You are my joy”. At first glance these are wonderful words, aren’t they?
“It’s not true!” — at least every fourth of the readers of this article will say!
Thanks to fellow arrangers, graduates of the course , we conducted a small study of this phrase using a spontaneously born exercise — a test.
Each of you can do the same now.
Exercise.
Part 1. Please “try on” the phrase “You are my joy”, as if someone were telling you this.
And now answer these questions:
1.Who is speaking to you big, small, equal?
2. Are you together with this phrase big, small?
3. Does this phrase make you stronger or weaker?
4. Do you accept what was said, protest, are neutral?
5. If you imagined who was telling you this, who is it? Did you recognize him? Native or outsider? Is this one person, or maybe several?
6. What would you like to say or do in response?
Part 2. The second step of this story — imagine that now this phrase “You are my joy” sounds from your lips.
1. If you are saying this, to whom? The first person to come to mind is who was introduced. Who is this?
2. Is this person big, small, equal for you?
3. Does the person accept what was said, does he protest, is he neutral?
