Traps on the way to the goal
I would like to share my thoughts on the reasons for so-called procrastination or kickbacks after completing motivational trainings.
I wanted to delve a little deeper into the topic inspired by the previous article “Delayed action or where the power goes”
The fact is that motivational trainings are designed to ignite you and motivate you to action. The motivation is carried out through the very personality of the speakers, success stories, motivating slogans and appeals; the so-called “contagion” occurs, which gives this disruption and impulse. You become inspired, you have desires, which you then translate into goals, then you write plans for achieving them, that is, everything is as taught in the training.
And then the fun begins. I call this a reality check.
A person, most often without thinking, writes a plan without taking into account one very important detail — his real self, that is, his real abilities, capabilities and limitations at the moment.
For example, you need to film a story or a live broadcast with your participation, or speak publicly, but a person has fears about this topic, that is, he has certain limitations. And he just went to the advertised training because they promised to get rid of these fears.
And what will happen next? Then there are two possible scenarios:
