Paying for vacation, or how to safely return to work after vacation
There are only 2 nervous processes in our psyche — tension and relaxation.
When we work in the usual rhythm, evenly exert ourselves and rest moderately — everything is in order, there are no distortions.
If we work much more than we rest, then sooner or later the body becomes exhausted — for some it lasts for months, for others after years, and for others it lasts for decades. And this depends not only on physiological data, but also on psychological ones — for example, beliefs about labor and work, formed since childhood, and motivation — for which we work.
Therefore, a good rest in the form of a vacation with complete switching and a trip over a more or less long distance from time to time is simply necessary.
And, if he manages to truly relax, that’s wonderful! Because at this time the body is recovering, there is a certain reassessment of one’s own life from a more resourceful state, followed by important decisions about its possible improvement and reorganization.
But when it’s time to return, the body gets wildly stressed, because moving from a relaxed state, even to a moderately tense one, is always harder than the other way around. Plus, traveling back by plane, train or car without a subsequent break is also exhausting.
What can you do to avoid feeling even more tired after your vacation than before?
