Maintaining integrity…continued.
Actually, the idea for this article was inspired by the process of self-observation. Not even 30 years of conscious introspection had passed before I finally asked myself the question: “Why don’t I answer some questions and comments and just ignore them in vain?”
The simplest answer is from the series “I don’t seem to want to answer badly, but in this case this person has nothing good to say, so I’m silent . ”
But, if you think deeper, there are phrases and questions, any answer to which violates the integrity of the internal space.
I’ll give you an example familiar to many: “you only think about yourself.” What can you answer here? Am I not thinking about myself? Or do I think not only about myself?
The question itself implies that thinking about yourself is bad. And, therefore, the one who is addressed must immediately renounce such a bad activity as thinking about himself, and become one who thinks about the Other or others.
Or here are some more common phrases: “You are an evil and callous person”… The interlocutor with this phrase communicates that being both evil and callous is bad. This means that in order to earn the trust and favor of your interlocutor, you must immediately renounce, split off your “evil and callous” part, otherwise you will be rejected and abandoned. And always be kind. Surely there are people who are familiar with the situation when, metaphorically or even non-metaphorically, they slap both the right and left cheeks, and say…
