HOW to deal with panic and stress

We all know that bad things happen in life sometimes, but not all of us know how to deal with our psychological problems correctly.

Let’s remember the children’s story about Chicken Little. When this funny character got hit on the head with a nut, he immediately made the mistaken conclusion that the sky was falling to the ground, and with cries of horror he rushed to tell everyone about it. This type of behavior is what we call panic or Chicken Little syndrome. Analyze how often our mind, absolutely contrary to objective reality, is ready to believe the worst. And now we are already picturing in our minds the terrible misfortunes that lie in wait for us literally around the corner! Such situations happen all the time if we quickly make erroneous conclusions that “the firmament has already collapsed.” But as it turns out later, our conclusions are somewhat premature . Such a negative attitude inevitably creates problems that otherwise would not have arisen and that could have been avoided.

Let’s return to our hero of the fairy tale: “…The sky remained far, far away, and the little chicken was simply eaten by a fox…” Catastrophic thinking led our hero to a very real disaster. When danger or a stressful situation arises, it is easy to succumb to emotions and react inappropriately to events that can lead to irreparable consequences. If we were given 100 rubles for every minute we indulge in thoughts of the worst, most of us would have become rich from it a long time ago.
