Fear of success. Why are we still afraid of dispossession?

When people who are unable to achieve success come to counseling, the first thing they work through is their fears of not achieving success: fear of failure, embarrassment, disappointment, showing themselves imperfect, unsuccessful and vulnerable, they are afraid of difficulties and making mistakes, as well as that they do not have enough energy and strength.

In my practice, I often notice that the most severe fear on the path to achieving success is the fear that we will still achieve it.

It would seem that achieving success is so great! However, within us there are dozens of deep programs related to our history, loneliness, change and new responsibility.

Fear of dispossession

The most common fear of our compatriots. From 1925 to 1932, people who became wealthy peasants, thanks to their talents, cunning and entrepreneurship, were deprived of everything they had — they were dispossessed. The peasants were condemned, called exploiters, shot and sent into exile, where not everyone made it and died of hunger on the way.

100 years later, many Russians are still afraid to become noticeable, because other people will come and take everything away, judge them and send them into exile.

Fear of loneliness

As we grow up, we eventually become cramped in the society in which we live. We want to get into a new society where people grow and develop just like us. Our actions…
