Elderly.
With this publication I want to draw attention to older people.
Elderly people today are the most vulnerable part of society; their lives suffer in many areas.
After retiring, a person experiences many changes, both external (in lifestyle) and internal (physiology, psyche).
Partial social isolation and limited contacts make the life of these people monotonous and meager. The inability to do what you did before causes a feeling of hopelessness and uselessness.
The emotional sphere and health suffer greatly. Relatives often move away (especially in big cities), older people feel lonely and abandoned, anxiety increases, and already running processes are aggravated.
People realize the finitude of life. In this regard, older people strive to share their experience and pass on their accumulated knowledge.
Knowing the characteristics of the elderly, it is easier to help these people.
How can we help our elderly parents and grandfathers today?
- It is important for them to know that they are remembered and cared for. — It is important for them to know that they are heard and understood. — It is important for them that they are taken into account, they are needed and bring benefits.
-It is important for them that they are loved.
