Despite the fact that the phenomenon has been known for many centuries, there are a lot of myths around it. For example, that it is incurable and if you tried 1–2 times, then you shouldn’t try to get rid of the addiction any further.

Drug addiction is a disease that affects the entire body both physically and mentally. This is the difficulty of curing it. To overcome addiction, as with any disease, you need to know its origins and root causes. It is not enough to relieve withdrawal symptoms and physical dependence only. Because it all starts from the head.

There are many factors that contribute to a person becoming a drug addict, including a certain percentage of heredity and mental inclination. An important role is played by the environment, what is called “getting into bad company,” where taking psychotropic substances is a certain admission into the group, a kind of ritual. But why do some limit themselves to a couple of times a week, while others get hooked?

Some go into the world of drugs, alcohol, etc. from reality. Others try on the contrary — to diversify and brighten up their reality.
