“Demobilization” from the border zone

“Borderline level of personality organization” is a term familiar to all psychologists. People looking for answers to questions about themselves may also encounter it: either they will receive useful information, or they will begin to worry even more.

My position is simple and psychoanalytic: there is no need to measure mental space with rulers and strive for some kind of classification. This is especially true for the borderline level, which is difficult to determine by any specialist.

Of course, when studying psychophysiology and neurobiology, I pay attention to the duration and intensity of the conditions with which I work. But I always work from different sides.

In this article I will build on the concept of IDENTIFICATION, describing “borderline” patients and showing what opportunities there are to “demobilize from the border zone.”

To begin with, I’ll reveal a metaphor: “demobilization from the border zone” means finding paths to reality that will be comfortable for the psyche (and the brain, of course), as well as changing the border uniform (unfashionable and ineffective “in civilian life”) to the ability to organize oneself from within.

To put it psychoanalytically, the “border guard” bombarded his libido with an unbearable burden of reality. He does not throw this…
